Nowadays, you can buy your stethoscope online. The price is not too much differ. Even, if you know where to find it and lucky, you can grab it with a much better choice rather that you buy it at any medical shops. I have to say the engraving on it was really cool and everyone comments on how striking the all black looks. I don't know where Steven gets his facts from but buying a stethoscope from another country isn't classed as importing, if you were bringing in hundreds for commercial gain then you would have to declare it. I and friends of mine have bought from many countries and have never had one issue with stuff coming into Australia, you would NOT have it confiscated or be fined up to 100K!!! I bought from Medisave Australisia as friends of mine had and heard good things about them and they are really good value plus I got a free patella hammer (Don't quite know how to use it right yet but trying). They have a massive presence in the UK, Europe and now even the US. They are an official Littman dealer listed on the 3M New Zealand site and I made sure of this before I purchased as I wanted to know the warranty still applies which it does anywhere in the world. I contacted Medshop and heard nothing back from them in relation to engraved examples for ages. When I did hear back they blamed it a server error but buy then it was too late.
