As a medical student choosing where you want to go for your electives is an important decision. For me, I think I would like to do one electives in a third world country where I get a lot of exposure to a lot of diseases not to mention I will get a lot of hands on experience that I wouldn’t normally get in a western metropolis. However, I would also like to do an additional elective in a big city because that is where I would like to end up practicing medicine.
