OK so my vacation is nearly over – by “nearly” I mean school starts up again next Monday. The release of our week one schedule is a haunting reminder of how much work I’m looking forward to in the coming months. The school really does a good job at driving us to our breaking point. I think it’s going to take me at least 2 weeks to get myself back into the “school mode.” I hate “school mode.” “School mode” interrupts my sleeping pattern to the point where I don’t even know if I’m sleeping anymore. It becomes my conscience taking up every opportunity it gets to remind me to open a medical book and read until my eyes fall off by themselves. Furthermore, I’m pretty sure that “school mode” gives me diarrhoea or at the very least indigestion.
I guess it’s kind of nice to see everybody after a long break, but at the same time once school starts up again I’m going to have to see these people at the very least five days a week eight hours a day. Not to mention the numerous unnecessary times we have to meet outside of class to work on useless CBL presentations. Damn it people – this is what the internet is for! We can get things done, but in the comfort of our own homes! I just hope the chesty babe with the lazy eye is in my CBL group this time around. She does make the time go by a little bit faster. That eye is so damn mesmerizing – I can’t stand it!
Man I’m going to hate not being able to sleep in until 3 in the afternoon anymore and not taking a shower until 7 or 8 at night. I know, I know – ewww right? I’ve definitely become nocturnal these past couple of weeks which I guess isn’t a bad thing now that my biological clock is in tune with Canadian eastern standard time – makes it easier to talk to my friends when they’re awake. One thing’s for sure though, I’m probably going to have to pull an all nighter so that I’m exhausted enough to want to go to bed at a reasonable time. If I don’t do that, I’m pretty sure I’m going to turn into a total asshole in the morning as a result of lack of sleep. An Angry Adam is not pleasant to be around, especially at 8 in the morning.

3I miss the days when I stayed up until 3-5AM and slept until 3PM. Now since I have to be at work at 8AM every day I can’t sleep past 10AM on my days off. It’s truly disgusting. But at the same time I like it so much better cause I get so much more out of the day. (Waking up at 10AM as opposed to 3PM. 8AM is a sin in any scenario.)

5You guys must be enjoying your summer right now! I heard it’s crazy hot in the northern hemisphere this year. Yeah I’m not on MSN that much anymore although I do “text” quite a bit now. Maybe you should post something about food soon! It’s been a while.

6Yeah that you are back and it was merely a blog issue that caused your temporary demise! I hope that you enjoy your last few days of holiday and not showering until late in the day (yep, ewww).
So, now that the 11th has come and gone, are you willing to admit that you are really a genius who is at the top of his medical class?

7OH Dr. K you do remember! I am more near the top than I am at the bottom
Let’s just leave it at that. I was pretty pleased with my mark although at some point I did talk myself into believing that I failed all of my exams! That was a restless night to say the least.

9Thanks SdNer glad I have at least ONE fan out there! I remember when I was able to write 3 or 4 posts a day now I’m barely writing once a week… It’s true what they say… medicine is your life!
